Within the framework of its Water Resources Management Capacity Building Programme (Water-CaB) and in line with the relevant resolutions of the Fourth Session of the Islamic Conference of Ministers Responsible for Water, SESRIC organised a Training Workshop on “Water Governance and Integrated Water Resources Management in the OIC Member Countries” on 24-26 January 2023 through an online video conferencing platform.

Within the framework of its Water Resources Management Capacity Building Programme (Water-CaB) and in line with the relevant resolutions of the 4^th Session of the Islamic Conference of Ministers Responsible for Water, SESRIC, in collaboration with the Tunisian Agency for Technical Cooperation (ATCT), organised the Training Course on “Waste Water Management and Recycling” on 13-16 June 2022 through an online video conferencing platform.

Within the framework of its Water Resources Management Capacity Building Programme (Water-CaB), SESRIC, in cooperation with the Inter-Islamic Network on Water Resources Development and Management (INWRDAM), organised a Training Workshop on “Water Monitoring Network and Early Warning System” on 16-19 August 2021 through an online video conferencing platform.

Within the framework of SESRIC’s Water Resources Management Capacity Building Programme (Water-CaB) and the Resolution No. 3/46-E (Part B) on Replenishing of Lake Chad adopted by the 46^th Session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the OIC, SESRIC and the Lake Chad Basin Commission (LCBC) jointly organized a Training Workshop on “Water Governance and Integrated Water Management” on 19-22 October 2020 for the benefit of the national water resource institutions of the Lake Chad Basin countries through an online video conference platform.

Within the framework of SESRIC’s Water Resources Management Capacity Building Programme (Water-CaB), SESRIC organized a training course on “Integrated Water Resources Management” on 12-16 October 2020 for the benefit of participants from the Ministry of Water and Irrigation of Jordan.

Within the framework of SESRIC’s Water Resources Management Capacity Building Programme (Water-CaB), SESRIC organized a training course on “Water Saving and Management in Agriculture Sector” on 24-28 August 2020, for the benefit of 40 experts from the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries of the Republic of Benin. The course was conducted through a video conferencing platform by following synchronous learning and instruction approaches.

SESRIC organised a Training Course on ‘Treated Wastewater Reuse’ on 11-13 June 2019 in Ramallah, Palestine within the framework of the OIC Water Resources Management Capacity Building Programme (Water-CaB).

SESRIC, in collaboration with the Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) and the University of Jordan, organized a 2-day Regional Seminar on Innovative Technologies in Water Sector for the achievement of the SDG 6 on 26-28 June 2018 in Amman, Jordan. Researchers and experts from 15 OIC Member States, namely, Egypt, Iran, Indonesia, Iraq, Kazakhstan, Lebanon, Malaysia, Morocco, Oman, Pakistan, Palestine, Sudan, Tunisia, Turkey and Uzbekistan attended the Seminar.

SESRIC organised in collaboration with the DSI (Devlet Su İşleri) and Islamic Development Bank (IDB) a Technical Visit on “Water Resources Management” within the framework of the OIC Water Resources Management Capacity Building Programme (Water-CaB) in Istanbul, Akcakoca, Kastomonu, Samsun, Rize, Artvin, Bayburt, Amasya and Bolu on 08-19 August 2016. The Technical Visit was provided by experts from DSI’s 14th Regional Office, Istanbul Turkey. The target group of this Technical Visit was the trainers from Ministry of Water and Sanitation, Mauritania, Ministry of Water and Mineral Resources, Somalia, Ministry for Water & Sanitation, Senegal and Ministry of Water and Environment, Uganda.

SESRIC organised a five day Water Capacity Building training course in collaboration with the General Directorate of State Hydraulic Works (DSI), Turkey and Turkish Water Institute (SUEN) on 21-25 December 2015 in Istanbul, Turkey. The course was attended by four participants each from the Department of Environment (DoE), Bangladesh and the National Water And Electricity Co.Ltd (NAWEC), Gambia.

In accordance with its 2015 Annual Work Plan, SESRIC organised the training course on “Water Management: Using Modern Irrigation Facilities” at the Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock, Islamic Republic of Afghanistan on 6-7 December 2015, within the framework of the OIC Agriculture Capacity Building Programme (OIC-AgriCaB). The course was conducted by Mr. Ali Çağlar ÇELİKCAN, Ms. Aylin ÇELİK and Mr. Korkut Gokhan Kurtar expert at Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Livestock, Republic of Turkey with the participation of experts from Ministry of Agriculture and relevant Agricultural Institutions, Islamic Republic of Afghanistan. SESRIC in collaboration with the Ministry of Employment and Vocational Training (MINEFOP) Republic of Cameroon, organised a three day training course on ‘‘Water Resources Management’’ within the framework of the Water Resources Management Capacity Building Programme (Water-CaB) in Yaoundé, Cameroon. The training course was provided by Dr. Yossef Ben-Meir President of High Atlas Foundation, Kingdom of Morocco, with the participation of agricultural experts and staffs from different relevant institutions of Cameroon. In accordance with its 2015 Annual Work Plan, SESRIC organised the training course on 'Integrated Water Resources Management' at the Palestinian Water Authority on 13^th-14^th October 2015, within the framework of the Water Resources Management Capacity Building Programme (Water-CaB). The course was conducted by Mr. Burhan Fuat ÇANKAYA, Expert at the Ministry of Forestry and Water Affairs with participation of relevant experts of PWA.

The Centre organised a training course on “Methods of Water Data and Information Collection (Water Statistics)” on 19-20 August 2015 at the venue of the Palestinian Water Authority (PWA), Palestine.

Statistical, Economic and Social Research and Training Centre for Islamic Countries (SESRIC) in collaboration with the Ministry of Forestry and Water Affairs of the Republic of Turkey and the Turkish Water Institute (SUEN), organised the International Integrated Basin Management Workshop on 25-26 February 2014 in Istanbul, Turkey.

Statistical, Economic and Social Research and Training Centre for Islamic Countries (SESRIC) organised training on “Water Resources Management” at the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Azerbaijan, on 6-7 February 2013. The course was provided by Ms. Saliha Değirmencioğlu, an expert from Ministry of Forestry and Water Affairs of the Republic of Turkey, and was attended by approximately 25 participants from different organisations such as Azersu and Melioration and Water Economy Joint-Stock Companies (JSCs).

Statistical, Economic and Social Research and Training Centre for Islamic Countries (SESRIC) organized training on “Water Resources Management” at the Higher Council for Environment and Natural Resources of the Republic of Sudan, on 23-24 November 2011. The Course was provided by Mr. Burhan Fuat Çankaya, an expert from the Directorate of Water Management of Ministry of Forestry and Water Affairs of the Republic of Turkey, and was attended by staff members of the Higher Council for Environment and Natural Resources of the Republic of Sudan.
