2nd International Conference on ‘Water, Megacities and Global Change’ (EauMega 2021)

The 2nd International Conference on “Water Megacities and Global Change” (EauMega 2021) will be organised by UNESCO's Division of Water Sciences, ARCEAU-IdF, the Greater Paris Sanitation Authority (SIAAP) and the Greater Paris Metropolis in December 2021, at UNESCO’s Headquarters in Paris, France.
Scientists, urban service managers, political representatives, and civil society will come together to exchange on the management of water in large urban centers of around 10 million inhabitants, and to launch officially the Megacities Alliance for Water and Climate (MAWAC).
Among the 16 megacities around the world reported by the Megacities Alliance for Water and Climate, two are from the OIC countries, namely Istanbul (Turkey) and Lagos (Nigeria).
