A meeting between the Palestinian Water Authority and the Arab Water Council was held in December 2019 in Cairo, Egypt with a view to enhancing cooperation and strengthening the partnership between the two institutions and relevant Arab organizations specialized in the water field.

During the meeting, several proposed programmes focusing on increasing the capabilities of the water workforce and employing modern technologies in the water sector were discussed.

Both parties emphasised the need to find new strategic partnerships through cooperation between different sectors and parties and working with common approaches at international, regional and national levels to promote integrated solutions towards the improvement of the water sector and achieve water security in the Arab region.
